The River

Shenandoah Farms is a great place for people to enjoy nature.  The Shenandoah River is the most popular attraction for many people. You can access the river from your property or at the public boat landings. You can boat, fish, swim and tube in the river. It is nice to drive alongside the Shenandoah River which hugs Howellsville Road at several points.  The photo at right is just one of many spectacular sunsets that residents enjoy driving home along the river.  POSF has fixed up a new picnic area next to the river this year (2005), you can access this from Farms River Road.

Lakes

The community offers two private lakes.  These are Lake of the Clouds and Spring Lake. These lakes have fish, places to have a barbeque, and you can go swimming in the lakes. These Lakes are for use by property owners and residents only and you need to have a Shenandoah Farms Vehicle Identification sticker on your car windshield to show that you have the right to use these properties. See rules that apply when visiting these lakes.
